What's on in Verbier October 2018

Summer is over and interseason is well and truly underway in Verbier. It's at this time of year that the number of tourists dwindles and the locals get their town back for a few weeks before the winter season hits.

But don't let the lift closures and October rain get you down; there's still plenty to do in the valley in October. From festivals to motorsport to Halloween parties, here is a quick rundown of some of the best events happening over the coming month.

Children's festival - 14th

Entertainment for all ages in October, Festi'Bagnes is a fun festival with parades, live music, circus skills and parties. There will be more than 25 workshops for children from leather to painting, African plaits and more. Sports and cultural activities will also be on offer including tennis, skate and Zumba. Toddlers will have their own separate space. Activities in French, English and Portuguese. CHF 10 per child free entry for adults. All activities included in the ticket.

Valais rally - 18th to 20th

The Rallye de Valais has been a steadfast event in the Swiss motoring calendar for many years. It is an FIA event, and representation from a wide range of nationalities and motorsport teams is expected. This year the Rallye de Valais will be the final round of the FIA European Rally Championship. Visit the website for all the latest information and the programme.

Bike park closing party - 27th

Saturday the 27th marks the last weekend of the year at Verbier Bike Park, and to celebrate they're having a moustache-day party with a barbecue and apero open to all riders. The barbecue will be from 14:00 in the Medran square and is free for riders sporting a moustache, followed by an aperitif from 16:30 for all riders. In the evening, enjoy a traditional raclette.

Health festival - 27th & 28th

On October 27th and 28th the Synergie Santé Health Festival comes to Le Chable. Around 50 stands will welcome you in the Espace Saint-Marc, where you will also find conferences, workshops and refreshments. This year's theme is “wisdom from here, wisdom from there”, inviting you to explore all the practices that will guide you towards good health. Tickets cost 7 CHF.

Halloween party - 31st

The Pub Mont Fort invites you to come party with them for their opening on Halloween night. Winter is coming, so Pub Mont Fort are opening their doors for another classic Halloween Winter Opening Party. Get dressed up, get ready and come party. They will have a ton of surprises in store for you.
