Adrenaline Ski Instructor Training Course, Verbier Valley

1. Ski instructor training course

In conjunction with EA Ski and Snowboard, this ski and snowboard school is offering you the chance to train as a ski instructor this winter.

You will take part in an early-season training programme to hone your skills, followed by a Level 1 exam to become certified. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to join their team of instructors for the upcoming season. Here’s a quick summary of the programme:

  • arrive at the end of November for an early-season training module with top trainers
  • accommodation included during training
  • full support, transfers, and social events
  • 4 Valleys Season Pass included
  • sit the Level 1 Instructor exam
  • assistance finding accommodation for the season
  • start work as an instructor in time for the busy Christmas period
  • options for further training and certifications, including Level 2, park & pipe, avalanche, and first aid
  • pre-departure support, including assistance with work visas, insurance, and flights

Starting in late November, places fill up fast, so you’ll need to act quickly to secure this opportunity!

Treetop Adventure Course, Verbier

2. Treetop Adventure Course

Suspended between the earth and the sky, you’ll find a superb treetop adventure. Test your agility, nerve and balance on these routes and zip lines, and enjoy that energising adrenaline rush.

With three different levels to choose from, there's something for all abilities. The green course is of an easy level, made up of eight challenges and a zip line. The blue course is of a medium level/difficulty, and is made up of nine challenges including a zip wire. It includes the 'Trublue Mobile,' a soft jump with horizontal movement, and the 'Saut Trublue,' a soft jump from a height of six metres and at a speed of two metres per second.

For the true adventurer, the red course is made up of 11 challenges and seven zip wires, with the 'Tyro/Saut,' a fast jump down a steep 45° incline, the 'Tyro Express,' a very steep zip wire with a braking system at the finish, and the 'Quick Jump' of nine metres with a ripcord (jump with 3.5-metre free fall at the start).

All equipment required (harness and helmet) is supplied by the Verbier Aerial Walkway team. The three courses provide increasing levels of difficulty and are at different heights depending upon the level.

It is not possible to book in advance, please contact the park directly or just turn up on the day to book your place.

Private Guided Enduro Tour, Verbier mountain bike

3. Private Guided Enduro Tour

Whether an advanced or expert enduro rider, a professional guide will take you on a fantastic bike tour to match your ability.

Meeting at the Médran Café in Verbier, these three or six hour tours are sure to impress. From 15-years-old and up, the tours are suitable for advanced and expert enduro riders.

For advanced tours, it is recommended that you be a regular endure or downhill mountain biker, who can ride on almost any track.

For expert tours, it is advised that you are a strong enduro or downhill mountain biker, confident riding all type of terrain in any weather condition.

On your own, or in a private group of up to five friends, these half and full day tours run in the morning and afternoon and from July through September. Full suspension enduro or all-mountain bikes only (minimum 150mm travel front and back). No cross-country bikes.

4. Private Guided Downhill Lessons

Whether a beginner, advanced or expert rider, these lessons will help you push your abilities with a professional, experienced bike guide. These half-day lessons are sure to give you an insight into how to improve your riding.

Meeting at the Médran Café in Verbier, these three hour lessons are sure to help you improve your riding. From 12-years-old and up, these lessons are suitable for anyone, from a relatively complete beginner (they will not teach you how to ride a bike), to an expert rider trying to eek out that extra 10 percent performance.

For beginner lessons, it is recommended that you can ride a mountain bike (freeride or downhill) but have little or no experience riding on downhill tracks. Beyond that, you may want to look at advanced lessons, as someone who is a regular downhill mountain biker, is able to jump drops of more than 1m high, and can ride on almost any track.

For expert lessons, it is advised that you are a strong downhill mountain biker, confident riding all type of terrain including large drops of 2m+, and in any weather condition.

On your own, or in a private group of up to five friends, these half-day lessons run in the morning and afternoon and from July through October. Freeride or downhill bikes compulsory for the downhill lessons (minimum 180mm travel front and back).

Kids Days, Verbier

5. Kids Activity Days

A multitude of exciting sport and artistic activities to be discovered, from 4 to 13 years old. The club is organised in two age groups, from 4-8yrs and from 9-13yrs, with activities suitable to your child's age.

If you dream of a summer for your kids surrounded by friends and laughs, if they are curious and want to exert themselves, or if they have an adventurous spirit and are close to nature, sign them up for this multiple activity week.

The kid's day run throughout July and August from Monday to Friday, with activities starting at 09:00 and finishing at 16:30. You can choose to enrol your kids for one to five days. Each day different activities are organised to suit the two age groups (4-8yrs and 9-13yrs). Take a look at the summary below. 

For the 4-8yrs age bracket the schedule is as follows:

  • Monday: Treetop adventure and kitchen workshop
  • Tuesday: Pirate Day
  • Wednesday: Poney discovery and discovering embossing
  • Thursday: Parkour and the Combins train
  • Friday: Célestin le Bouquetin walk and leisure park

For the 9-13yrs age bracket the schedule is as follows:

  • Monday: Mountain Bike ride
  • Tuesday: Golf discovery and swimming
  • Wednesday: Discovering embossing and leisure park
  • Thursday: Cross country scooters and escape room
  • Friday: Fishing and treetop adventure

Upon request, it is possible to look after your kids from 08:00 and until 17:00. Both drop off and pick up is at the Médran Café.
