2. Tour du Mont Fort - Pro rider

Location
Verbier

This mountain bike route will challenge the hardiest of riders, with a total length of over 59km, 2,000m height gain and -3,112m of descents. It ends with a 17km drop into the bike park and back to the centre of resort.

Technically it's not that challenging, it's the endurance aspect and the climbs that will really push you to your limits.

One of the best bits about this tour is the view from the Col des Gentianes, with a stunning view of Mont Blanc.

You can choose to use lifts for part of the tour, or do it the hard way on the alternative route, with just pedal power. Expect to take all day to complete it (six to eight hours potentially), and be mindful of the summer lift operating times and weather before you set off.

Itinerary: Verbier > Les Planards > Savoleyres > Les Etablons > La Tzoumaz > Le Drotsé > Prarion > Balavaux > Tracouet > Sofleu > Siviez > Tortin > Téléphérique des Gentianes > Col des Gentianes > La Chaux > Les Ruinettes > Verbier Bike Park > Verbier.
