Skier Dies in Mont Gele Fall

A 61 year old French skier died on the slopes of Mont Gele after falling several hundred metres.

Shortly after first lifts on Saturday 22nd of March a group of five skiers headed off the Mont Gele to ski one of the off-piste ski itineraries. However shortly after the beginning of the descent, one of the skiers fell and slid over 100 metres.

Rescue teams were quick to arrive on scene but sadly could only pronounce the man dead on the scene.
