Le Mouton Noir Restaurant
Iconic mountain restaurant in Verbier - lunch on the slopes and the most beautiful views in town
This restaurant is perfectly located for a relaxed meal with stunning mountain views. Situated at Les Ruinettes (2,200 metres) on the slopes, directly opposite the Médran cable car, Le Mouton Noir is one of Verbier’s most iconic mountain restaurants. Spread across two levels and a panoramic terrace, it’s often described as the restaurant with the most beautiful views in Verbier, offering breathtaking scenery over the Combins mountain range and a lively alpine atmosphere.
By midday, the terrace fills with skiers and visitors arriving on skis or by lift to enjoy a relaxed, sun-soaked Verbier lunch on the slopes. The menu blends traditional Swiss comfort food with refined, creative touches - guests’ favourites include the Mouton Noir Burger, the Tuna Tataki, and the Swiss beef fillet served sizzling on a hot stone. There are also vegetarian, gluten-free, and children’s dishes available, ensuring everyone finds something to love.
When the weather allows, DJs or live music bring the terrace to life, creating an unmistakable Verbier après-ski vibe with magnums of rosé, local beers, and plenty of good energy. Le Mouton Noir also welcomes large groups for lunch - up to 120 guests - making it an ideal venue for gatherings, celebrations, or corporate events.
Le Mouton Noir is open during the winter season for lunch and après-ski. It’s accessible by ski or by cable car, making the journey part of the experience - and yes, dogs are welcome.
