1. Le Sonalon Restaurant

Le Sonalon restaurant is perched high up above the town of Verbier, although more than accessible by road, over looking the pistes and the resort. Its specialities include regional produce, cheeses and locally reared beef and veal.

It has a fantastic reputation amongst the locals, and there are 55 seats indoors, with 100 more on the terrace, so reservations are advised. The restaurant is open for lunch and evening dinner throughout most of the year, except May and September/October when opening is reduced.

For all reservations please call ahead, as it's a popular spot it can easily get booked up.

They offer a brasserie menu at midday and a more refined menu in the evenings.

3. La Marlenaz Restaurant

Perched high above Verbier, La Marlénaz is a restaurant surrounded by pure Alpine beauty - an authentic mountain escape where simplicity, flavour, and fresh air meet. Just a few minutes from the resort centre yet set in full nature, it offers one of the most spectacular views in Verbier, overlooking the valley and surrounding peaks.

Here, guests come for simple pleasures done perfectly: a glass of wine in the sun, a crisp rösti, a comforting croûte, or a creamy fondue shared between friends. The menu celebrates traditional Swiss mountain cuisine with a refined touch - from Bagnes cheese and local charcuterie to seasonal creations from the chef, always made with care and quality local produce.

In winter, La Marlénaz becomes a true mountain adventure: it’s accessible by foot, ski, or snowshoe - for experienced skiers - or by snow taxi, available by advance booking for dinner. In summer, it’s an idyllic lunch spot reached by car or on foot through scenic alpine trails.

Ice Cube Bar, Verbier

4. Ice Cube Restaurant and Bar

This piste-side restaurant and bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a bite to eat on the slopes.

Ice Cube offers a selection of food, including hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and snacks to keep you going on the slopes. Hot and cold beverages are also available, so you can enjoy a morning coffee or hot chocolate, as well as a cold, refreshing après-ski drink in the afternoon.

Music and magnificent mountain views complete the experience!

Located on the piste just below the Medran top station, Ice Cube is open every day during the winter season.

5. Le Mouton Noir Restaurant

This restaurant is perfectly located for a relaxed meal with stunning mountain views. Situated at Les Ruinettes (2,200 metres) on the slopes, directly opposite the Médran cable car, Le Mouton Noir is one of Verbier’s most iconic mountain restaurants. Spread across two levels and a panoramic terrace, it’s often described as the restaurant with the most beautiful views in Verbier, offering breathtaking scenery over the Combins mountain range and a lively alpine atmosphere.

By midday, the terrace fills with skiers and visitors arriving on skis or by lift to enjoy a relaxed, sun-soaked Verbier lunch on the slopes. The menu blends traditional Swiss comfort food with refined, creative touches - guests’ favourites include the Mouton Noir Burger, the Tuna Tataki, and the Swiss beef fillet served sizzling on a hot stone. There are also vegetarian, gluten-free, and children’s dishes available, ensuring everyone finds something to love.

When the weather allows, DJs or live music bring the terrace to life, creating an unmistakable Verbier après-ski vibe with magnums of rosé, local beers, and plenty of good energy. Le Mouton Noir also welcomes large groups for lunch - up to 120 guests - making it an ideal venue for gatherings, celebrations, or corporate events.
Le Mouton Noir is open during the winter season for lunch and après-ski. It’s accessible by ski or by cable car, making the journey part of the experience - and yes, dogs are welcome.

Open in winter and summer, this restaurant is a great spot for families, and pets too! They serve local specialities with contemporary touches.

They cater for kids, vegetarians, provide a playground for the kids, and a terrace for the grown ups (in summer) to take in the views from. The menu is a mixture of all kinds of dishes from all over the world, so you're sure to find something that suits your tastes.

Open every day in summer and winter. Closed from late April to early July.

7. Le Carrefour Restaurant

One of the oldest dining spots in the Bagnes/Verbier area, offers a varied menu of Swiss and international cuisine. Guests can enjoy mountain classics like rösti, fondue, grilled meats, seasonal dishes, and vegetarian options with creative touches. The restaurant features stone‑walled interiors, spacious seating, and terraces with alpine views. Friendly service, local wines, and a relaxed atmosphere make Le Carrefour a popular choice for lunch, dinner, or après‑ski dining.

They serve fondues plus a wide selection of rostis and delicious steaks, and a menu just for the kids.

Open in winter from December to April, from midday until late. Lunch sittings at 12:00 and 14:00. In summer, by booking only.

La Croix de Coeur Restaurant, Verbier Region exterior

8. La Croix de Coeur Restaurant

Located on the Taillay piste in the Savoleyres sector, this restaurant specialises in traditional "Bagnarde" cuisine made from fresh local ingredients.

Sample a traditional polenta, croute or rosti made from Alpine cheese or steak from Fleur d'Héren cows served on a hot slate. Soups, salads and desserts are also available for those with a lighter appetite.

This large restaurant seats 60 people inside and 80 on the terrace. In winter you can ski to the door, in summer there is access by road and a small car park.

Open daily in winter from 09:30 to 16:30. From late June to mid-July from 09:30 to 17:00. From mid-July to early August from 09:30 to 22:00. From early August to late August from 09:30 to 17:00. In September and October, open every Friday and Saturday from 09:30 to 22:00 and Sundays from 09:30 to 17:00.

Le Mazot Restaurant, Fionnay interior

9. Le Mazot restaurant, Fionnay

Traditional Savoyard style restaurant with seasonal produce located in Fionnay, near Bagnes. A charming local eatery nestled in the heart of the Val de Bagnes village, popular with hikers and visitors to the area. It serves homemade, regional cuisine including seasonal dishes, salads, meats, polenta and Valais‑style specialties, with crêpes and grill options in summer. A selection of Valais wines is available by the glass. The restaurant operates mainly Friday to Tuesday with evening service on weekends by reservation.

They serve local traditional cuisine, as well as salads, meats, polenta, Brittany crepes and grills and BBQs in the summer.

Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Non-stop service from 12:00.

L'Olympique Restaurant, Verbier interior

Le Dahu offers some of the best views in Verbier with a panoramic vista of the Val des Bagnes and Grand Combin glacier. Split between a relaxed self-service area downstairs with burgers, hot dogs and more, and a seated restaurant upstairs serving Swiss classics and wood-fired pizzas, it’s the perfect spot for a midday break on the slopes. You’ll find fresh local produce used throughout the menu, making for a tasty and satisfying meal.

Serving local cuisine you can enjoy a lovely mountain lunch here. Alternatively, you can head to the snack bar/self-service where you can enjoy hot dishes like burgers, salads and painins. Or have a pizza made fresh daily and enjoy the mountain views.

Right at the bottom of the La Chaux snowpark you will find the restaurant with its large terrace and great views of the mountains.

Open every day in the winter. For booking, they only accept reservations by telephone.

Le Mayentzet is a charming mountain restaurant in Verbier, located between Les Ruinettes and the Mayentzet chairlift, with a sunny terrace offering stunning valley views. It serves hearty local cuisine, including Swiss classics like fondue, alpine macaroni, grilled meats, pasta, and burgers, alongside daily specials. Open in both winter and summer, Le Mayentzet is an ideal spot for lunch or a relaxing break on the slopes, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

The traditional restaurant serves local cuisine such as cheese fondue and grilled meats, with a daily special. Pasta dishes and burgers are also available.

Open daily from 09:00 to 17:00 and from 19:00 to 22:30 during the winter and summer seasons.

Les Gentianes Restaurant, Verbier exterior

13. Les Gentianes Restaurant

This mountain restaurant located at the Col des Gentianes.

The restaurant is made up of a self-service area, a bar area and a lounge where you can relax and enjoy coffee, hot chocolate or wines. The restaurant offers typical mountain cuisine with steaks, pastas, sandwiches, salads and snacks.

Access to the restaurant is via the 3 Jumbo cable car or the Col des Gentianes cable car.

Open every day from 09:00 to 16:00.

Chez Simon Restaurant, La Tzoumaz exterior

14. Chez Simon Restaurant

A restaurant located above La Tzoumaz, halfway down the La Tzoumaz bubble, accessible via the Nord, Saxon and off the Altiport Pistes.

Offering a menu of traditional cuisine with fresh ingredients and local flavours and, although the menu is small, everything on offer is taste bud pleasing.

Open every day in winter and summer for lunch. Dinner by reservation only.

15. La Marmotte Restaurant

A traditional mountain restaurant with views over Verbier and out to the Mountains.

Serving local cuisine using fresh ingredients and mountain flavours.

The restaurant is also open in the evening serving Raclettes and other Savoyard dishes. To get there it will take you a 30 minute walk from the last stop on the free bus line by the Carrefour restaurant and then following the forest road. You will be ready for the Savoyard delights once you arrive. You can get a table here in the evening by reservation only and you can even sledge back down to Verbier after your meal.

Booking is recommended during peak season. In the summer you can drive to the restaurant via the road that heads to Corix de Coeur or alternatively hike to the restaurant for a well deserved lunch. In the winter ski from the Savoleyres and for those on foot take the trails from the Sonalon or the sports centre.
