Ski Sunday's Ed Leigh appointed as Verbier ambassador
Snowboarding TV presenter brings you exclusive coverage from Verbier
Followers of BBC's Ski Sunday will instantly recognise Ed Leigh as one half of their presenting duo, and this season he's spending his time in Verbier.
So what's he doing here? Ed and his family actually moved to Verbier this winter and he's become and ambassador for the resort, showcasing how good the resort is for not only freeride skiing and snowboarding but also its world class facilities the range of winter activities it has to offer.
Over the last year a number of British tour operators have pulled out of the resort due to changes in the Euro / Swiss exchange rate and the decision to increase seasonal workers wages to meet the Swiss minimum, but that hasn't stopped a lot of Brits returning to the resort this season.
As a well know figure of UK and European winter sports, Ed Leigh's presence here, his regular blog, and video updates will continue to keep Verbier in the minds of British skiers and snowboarders, and maybe even encourage some of those that have stayed away this year to come back?
