Verbier Apres Ski Report: 15th December 2011

Even though we had a slow start to the season in terms of snowfall the après ski and nightlife of Verbier was off to a running start from the beginning. This time of the season is always very exciting. The influx of returning friends and new faces of both workers and visitors is a refreshing flip side to the peace and quiet of the summer.

Sun sun sun and snow snow snow. What could be a better combination? With tons of snow still left on the mountain and seemingly endless beautiful sunny days, this week in Vebier has been postcard perfect.

Fireworks Festival

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 9th December 2014

December is such a crazy month for everyone in resort whether you are working or on holiday. The population quickly rises from 3,000 to nearly 40,000 in a matter of weeks and making a decision on where to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve is a hard decision.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 23rd March 2012

Just as we were getting used to bare patches and afternoon slush, this season had another little treat up its sleeve – dropping a couple of feet of fresh snow for us over Sunday and Monday. Not entirely sure where it came from given the clear skies and temperatures before and after, but no complaints at all, as when the sun returned on Tuesday, it meant one of the best days of the season up the mountain, with fresh tracks pretty much everywhere you turned.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 17th January 2013

Finally the heavens have opened and sprinkled our favourite white powder all over the 4 Valleys! As those valiant enough to brave the elements have reached for the thermals, many have taken the cold weather as an excuse to party. After all, what better way to keep warm than by après ski festivities at The Farinet Aprés Ski Bar or a warming vin chaud at The Loft?

Crowds on Col de Gentianes for the Freeride World Tour

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 2nd April 2012

So as Easter creeps around the corner and we wave farewell to March, the sunshine has shown no sign of easing up here in Verbier – but as we welcome the inevitable influx of visitors to the village, it seems we may have a little Easter treat for everyone, with the possibility of some fresh snow around the end of this week. Fingers crossed.

Pub Mont Fort Review

There are no real arguments when it comes to talking about the Pub Mont Fort being the most famous place in Verbier. It is one of busiest places in town this season and after all the changes in the resort the PMF still stands strong.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 27th February 2013

This week has seen some more amazing skiing conditions and although it’s been chilly, the beating sun has been causing ski smiles everywhere. There’s been some great music as well as a gripping rugby match, and with a Verbier Harlem Shake looking to rip up Place Central this Wednesday, there looks to be even more excitement to come.

If like us, you feel that this season has sped by like a downhill racer, then there’s only one thing to do – make the most of the last few weeks that remain! Go to that restaurant you could never afford to go to, ask that lovely looking lady you see every morning on the chairlift out for drinks, and attempt that double backflip that’s been itching away at the back of your mind this winter.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 3rd February 2012

Welcome February! Leap years, Valentines, pancakes and, it would seem, more snow. As a Siberian wind sweeps across Europe, wrap up warm this weekend, we’re in for a chilly one. Temperatures of -35 in the village are being uttered! I’m no meteorologist, or JT, but I can confirm one thing, it’s flippin’ freezing.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 24th January 2013

Chilly noses have meant a quieter week in resort this week. A drop in temperature has seemed to induce hibernation for many but for those holidaymakers and seasonaires who did brave the icy blast, there was more than enough excitement to keep the Verbier antics flowing. With some mind-blowing skiing, captivating live music and a great choice of restaurants there's always plenty of fun to be had in the 4 Valleys!

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 13th March 2013

As the cloudy weather engulfs our mountain home, the words ‘fresh powder’ seem to be on everybody’s lips. The resort waits impatiently for the murky memories of off-piste days to return to reality - but don’t hang up your poles yet.

Farinet Lounge Opening night 2016

The Farinet Lounge has opened its doors for the start of the 2016-17 season and as you can see it was a popular night, with plenty of cocktails and champagne flowing.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 9th February 2012

With the crowds of half term just around the corner, everyone in Verbier has been rushing out to brave the biting cold and squeeze in as much skiing as possible before the lift lines inevitably swell next week. We’ve been made to work for it though, as iced toes and nostril freeze have become standard feelings for those up the mountains.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 17th February 2012

Luckily the temperatures have risen to just above flippin’ baltic now in Verbier, and with it has come a fresh dusting of snow! It’s a testament to how good the conditions have been this season, that after no more than 2 weeks without snow, there are whispers from the locals that everything has been tracked and we need some fresh! Well it seems we’ve got it. And there’s more coming...
