Crowds on Col de Gentianes for the Freeride World Tour

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 2nd April 2012

So as Easter creeps around the corner and we wave farewell to March, the sunshine has shown no sign of easing up here in Verbier – but as we welcome the inevitable influx of visitors to the village, it seems we may have a little Easter treat for everyone, with the possibility of some fresh snow around the end of this week. Fingers crossed.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 17th December 2012

As we edge closer and closer to the Christmas period, our snowy bubble is becoming filled with more and more festive fun. With two more brilliant parties thrown by Bluebird Seasonaires, a film premiere and the first sport highlight of the season, this week has certainly lived up to the high standards set last week.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 7th February 2013

With powder days flying in left, right and centre this week, Verbier has become a haven of fluffy joy for residents and holiday-makers alike. With Mardi Gras just around the corner, the pulse of Verbier life is beginning to beat with new exuberance so get your costumes ready and hold onto your socks - it’s going to get crazy!

People partying on the terrace at Le Rouge

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 24th February 2012

As the temperatures have risen this week, it seems Spring may have sprung slightly earlier than expected in Verbier. After the freezing temperatures of last week, this week has completely flipped and seen the mercury rise on the thermometers to just about the highest levels of the season so far. Certainly no complaints though, as the snow is still in great condition, it just means we can all drink and dine al fresco again!

lounge area and fire at bar in Verbier

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 23rd December 2011

With an epic amount of snow fall the week before xmas it has been no surprise that mulled wine has been a common thread of my first week in Verbier. A more unique (yet equally warming) drink has also crept in thanks to one bar tender at Le Rouge whipping up a chilli and vodka shot to go with their complimentary parma ham. Le Rouge is definitely one of my favourite haunts so far, you can not argue with a good fire and quality music, I literally want to melt into the chairs when I go in there and it is perfect for when you come in from the slopes.

Party goers at Verbier Apres Ski

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 11th April 2012

So as the snowline gradually shrinks, the resort has swelled with visitors for the Easter holiday period. But although the lift lines have lengthened and the snow is not as inviting as it has been, there are still plenty of great things going on in Verbier.

Sun sun sun and snow snow snow. What could be a better combination? With tons of snow still left on the mountain and seemingly endless beautiful sunny days, this week in Vebier has been postcard perfect.

Chilly noses have meant a quieter week in resort this week. A drop in temperature has seemed to induce hibernation for many but for those holidaymakers and seasonaires who did brave the icy blast, there was more than enough excitement to keep the Verbier antics flowing. With some mind-blowing skiing, captivating live music and a great choice of restaurants there's always plenty of fun to be had in the 4 Valleys!

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 8th March 2012

As the crowds filter out of the resort after, what seems like, endless back-to-back half term weeks across Europe, we have been gifted with some fresh snow! Just as we had all pushed those winter thermals to the back of the closet and the goggles had been exchanged for sunglasses, good old Mother Nature has said guess again. Definitely no complaints though, as right now there is some great spring skiing to be had without the hint of any lift lines to slow down your day.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 28th March 2013

This week saw many fantastic events grace our mountain home. Pub Mont Fort organized onesie descent, the Freeride World Tour finals and Waste playing at The Farinet - probably the best après band ever – meant Verbier was the place to be this week. To top it off, after some fairly inconsistent weather earlier in the week, there’s now been a fresh dump of snow making some great conditions for the Easter weekend.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 27th January 2012

So, it’s been smiles all round resort this week as the clouds rolled in, the heavens opened and kindly dropped off about half a metre of the fluffy stuff. And don’t for one second expect those grins to fade, there’s more on the way – with another dusting forecast this weekend. It’s a great time to be in Verbier! Ski hard, party hard has consequently been the vibe around town as both holidaymakers and seasonaires burned the slopes by day and the candle by night.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 15th December 2011

Even though we had a slow start to the season in terms of snowfall the après ski and nightlife of Verbier was off to a running start from the beginning. This time of the season is always very exciting. The influx of returning friends and new faces of both workers and visitors is a refreshing flip side to the peace and quiet of the summer.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 13th January 2012

So, as we roll further into January this week, a time most like to reserve as a period of rest for their wallets and their livers, Verbier is showing no sign of letting up at all. And what a week it’s been. January blues have arrived in the best way possible - in the skies. The heavy blizzards and snowfall that dominated the reports last week moved along on Sunday, and made way for beautiful bluebird days and some incredible skiing conditions.

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 24th December 2012

The Christmas period, with its mulled wine, mistletoe kisses and numerous social activities, is always a great time of year. But when you’re living in the mountains, late December hits new levels of excitement: with a guaranteed white Christmas, a picturesque mountain scene and more parties than you can shake a holly bush at, its all going Christmas crazy in Verbier. So on that note, who’s excited?

Verbier Apres Ski Report: 3rd February 2012

Welcome February! Leap years, Valentines, pancakes and, it would seem, more snow. As a Siberian wind sweeps across Europe, wrap up warm this weekend, we’re in for a chilly one. Temperatures of -35 in the village are being uttered! I’m no meteorologist, or JT, but I can confirm one thing, it’s flippin’ freezing.
