Verbier Apres Ski Report: 23rd December 2011
Apres-ski tips from our guest reporter
With an epic amount of snow fall the week before xmas it has been no surprise that mulled wine has been a common thread of my first week in Verbier. A more unique (yet equally warming) drink has also crept in thanks to one bar tender at Le Rouge whipping up a chilli and vodka shot to go with their complimentary parma ham. Le Rouge is definitely one of my favourite haunts so far, you can not argue with a good fire and quality music, I literally want to melt into the chairs when I go in there and it is perfect for when you come in from the slopes.
The luxurious open fire at The Lounge is definitely also is a good place to defrost and start the night. However, for the ultimate warm up, nothing beats good old fashioned dancing as I found out in Casbah with DJ Lady Fuchs spinning her tech house wonders. If you are partial to something a little more mainstream then next door Ratty served back to back crowd pleasers to a very willing crowd. Across the road to Public for a seriously tasty glass of champagne and a scene to match. Public Verbier is complete with all the unique and eccentric fittings from London including the incredible photo-booth and dressing up box. My favourite room? definitely the VIP room with the sweet jars, if you don't know what I talking about then I suggest you check it out for yourself and while you are there why not try a 'mousetrap'.
Coming up I am really looking forward to checking out Superstar DJ and general legend Brandon Block (at Farinet 23rd Dec) and L'after at Le Rouge on Saturday from 3pm.
