Fatal Ski Accident in Verbier
Skier dies after fall onto road
A skier has died following a tragic accident in Verbier last Friday afternoon.
The 77 year old male from the Netherlands was skiing near the Au Mayen restaurant next to the Mayentzet chairlift when he fell 2.5m onto the road. He was transported to hospital in Sion but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
