What's new in Verbier winter 2018/19
Great new things to look forward to this winter season
Each season Verbier gets better and better, constantly looking to expand and develop its already thriving winter wonderland.
Some fantastic new prospects are on the way for this winter season in Verbier, which will no doubt cement even further that a holiday in Verbier is the perfect getaway for those who want the best of everything; world-class skiing, an incredible night-life scene, wonderful restaurants, and a large array of chic clothing, ski, and outdoors shops.

SunGod launches flagship store for winter 2018/19
Founded in 2013, Verbier based custom eyewear brand SunGod have chosen to reject the traditional retail model and only sell direct to customers through their website. To deepen this unique customer experience, SunGod will launch their first experiential store, ‘SunGod Basecamp’, here in Verbier, just a few hundred meters from the Medran lift.
With a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee in hand, customers will be able to custom build their own ski goggles and sunglasses, choosing from a vast range of design options, with the added satisfaction of knowing they are walking away with a product that is guaranteed for life. In addition to this, Basecamp will offer SunGod customers the unique opportunity to demo products on the mountain, before purchasing. SunGod Basecamp will open in December this year.

Liverpool FC partner with Verbier
In an exciting new move for Verbier, earlier this year the announcement came of a new partnership with Liverpool FC, with the resort becoming the first Alpine tourism destination for the club. Under the deal, there will be exclusive offers for fans provided by Verbier, as well as a dedicated week of exclusive deals, activities, and enjoyment on the slopes, aptly named “Liverpool week”. This will take place from January 20th to 25th. Even if you’re not a reds fan, “Liverpool Week” will bring a cracking atmosphere to resort, in what would otherwise be a relatively quiet week (by Verbier’s standards).

Hotel Nevai is turning into Experimental Chalet
The Farm Club is perhaps one of the most famous nightclubs in the alps, synonymous for its outrageous parties full of A-list celebrities and the best DJs in the business. It sits underneath and part of the incredible Hotel Nevai, a luxury hotel and spa in the heart of Verbier with a modern and chic alpine design. At the beginning of the winter season in December 2018, the hotel will transform into a new venture - Experimental Chalet.
The hotel will consist of 39 lavish bedrooms, a fantastic restaurant and cocktail bar, plus a tranquil and beautifully designed spa, hammam, and solarium. Guests will be able to relax and find peace following a long day on the slopes. For those who want to continue the good vibes, they can pick up the pace again and party the night away downstairs in The Farm Club.

New Michelin starred chef in Chalet d’Adrien
Chalet d’Adrien is well known in Verbier as one of its best restaurants, being the only one tohold a Michelin star. It has undeniably one of the most beautiful views from its outside terrace, overlooking a panoramic vista all the way down to the valley floor.
Since 2011, Mirto Marchesi has been in charge of the kitchen, upholding Chalet d’Adrien’s fantastic reputation for many years. However, this winter will see acclaimed chef Sebastiano Lombardi take over, bringing with him the Italian flare from the Apulia region in Southern Italy coupled with his own philosophy of cooking: simple, healthy, using the freshest seasonal ingredients, while taking inspiration from and respect for the identity of the classic flavours so well known and loved in the region.
Lombardi has had an impressive career working in multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, alongside many of Italy’s most celebrated chefs. His addition to Chalet d’Adrien, along with his brigade that has accompanied and supported him since his early career, will no doubt bring an exciting new dining experience to the already amazing restaurant scene of Verbier.
