After 7 years in the Windsor mansion with the Duke, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, has left for a new life in the picturesque mountain resort of Verbier, in the French speaking region of southern Switzerland.
High above the towns resort sits the £13 million property, equipped with a huge south facing terrace, sauna, jacuzzi, swimming pool and a half dozen of staff to maintain the large chalet.
Verbier has been a favourite ski location for the family for many years and they are often spotted on the slopes with local guides showing them the best ski runs Verbier can offer. The Princesses Beatrice and Eugene are known to frequent the local night spots of Farinet Lounge and The Farm Club.
Removal vans travelled from the UK to Verbier last week with the Duchesses belongings.
The Duke and Duchess remain good friends, with the Duchess adding "I would be homeless if it were not for him".
