Spring is definitely springing into life here in Verbier with uninterrupted sunshine and mild temperatures up on the mountain, it's a great time to be out skiing.

Late last week saw around 6,000 tons of rock fall off the side of a mountain in the commune of Evolène in the Swiss canton of Valais.

It's looking set to be a sunny week in Verbier, with great snow conditions across the 4 valleys.

The Tour de France made it's first trip to Verbier and I went along to soak up the sun and enjoy the atmosphere.

The snow conditions on the Ruinettes, Attelas and Mont-Fort ski areas are excellent, whilst the snow on the high slopes of the La Tzoumaz side of Savoleyres conditions are still good.
