Verbier feels properly mid season right now, with a solid winter base across the mountain and a confident alpine atmosphere in the village. The Mont Fort sector and surrounding peaks are well filled in, tree lines are holding snow nicely, and the season feels settled after a strong January. Conditions feel reliable rather than flashy, with plenty of terrain skiing well if you know where to look.
Snow and Weather Summary
Current snow depths are sitting at around 240 to 260cm at altitude, with roughly 110 to 130cm in the village. There has been little fresh snowfall over the past week, limited to occasional light dustings, but the underlying base remains strong. Temperatures have stayed cold enough to preserve snow quality, with daytime highs around -5 degrees Celsius on upper slopes and closer to -2 degrees in the village, dropping well below freezing overnight. The freezing level has mostly remained below 1,200 metres, helping keep lower runs in reasonable shape. Winds have been light to moderate, stronger at times on exposed ridges. Skiing is very good on higher and north facing terrain where packed powder and chalky snow dominate, while lower and south facing slopes are firmer, particularly later in the day.
