Pierre Avoi, La Tzoumaz
Climb to the summit of Pierre Avoi 2,472m overlooking the Rhône Valley
The Pierre Avoi summit is a 170m limestone tower.
Pierre Avoi comes from the latin 'Petra Acuta' meaning 'Sharp Stone', and its summit is reachable by a series of ladders and chains after a three hour climb from the village of La Tzoumaz.
This one way walk requires you to either follow your ascent route back to the village or take the cable car down to avoid bashing those knees for another three hours.
